Junior golf clubs - US Kids Golf range

August 18th, 2006

If you are a junior golfer or have a budding Tiger Woods in the family, it is important to get the correct clubs so you can learn properly and build confidence.  Cut down clubs and a lot of supposedly “junior” clubs are really just adapted adult versions and are too heavy and stiff for junior golfers.

US Kids Golf have been producing a range of specialist clubs and other junior golf equipment since 1997.  Their clubs have heads that are 25% lighter than adult versions and have the weight redistributed as well as specially made, more flexible shafts and thinner grips.  There are 4 age ranges to suit all heights and there are even different colour ranges available for girls.

Anything Left-Handed have just arranged to distribute the range of left-handed clubs available from US Kids in the UK and they will be in stock within a week.  Check this page for details and watch out for news in the Club newsletter soon.

Welcome to the Left Handed Children Blog

August 7th, 2006

We will be using this blog to record all new information we come across relating to left-handed children, their parents and teachers and about products, tips and tricks that may make life a little easier (or stuff that just amuses us!).

On a serious note, this lefthandedchildren.org website is the home of the Lefthanders’ School Experiences survey and the campaign we are running to get better awareness and consideration of the needs of left-handed children in schools.

We have found the responses to the survey and the comments and personal experiences that people have shared with us extremely interesting and helpful, if a little sad in some cases. So often, it seems that a small amount of help from a teacher or parent could make a huge difference, if only they were aware of it and knew what to do.

We hope that by sharing this information and our thoughts and comments on it we will help a few more people to help the left-handed children they come across and also help the children to help themselves.
